Bishop Arts staple Emporium Pies opens new shop in Fort Worth’s Southside District

Almost a decade after opening its first store, Oak Cliff Staple Emporium Pies is expanding to the west side of the D-FW Metroplex.

The popular cake shop celebrated the grand opening of its first store in Forth Worth at 411 S. Main St. on April 23, after years of answering inquiries from devout customers. The new store currently only offers pickup, but plans to offer dining room services by the end of the year.

Now Fort Worth residents don’t have to travel far to indulge in handcrafted favorites like the Drunken Nut, a bourbon pecan cake with a shortbread crust or Lord of the Pies, a deep-dish apple cake with homemade caramel a crispy cinnamon crumble.

The new space is Emporium Pies’ fourth since it opened in the Bishop Arts District in 2012. The bakery also has locations in Deep Ellum and downtown McKinney.

The Fort Worth store is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Emporium Pies also accepts online orders and delivers.
