Celebrate National Comedy Month – Fort Worth Weekly

In honor of April National Comedy MonthThere are some upcoming comedic events to check out.

If comedy is a hobby of yours, don’t be shy. There are several open mic evenings for you. For example, Bodega West 7 .. (2921 Morton St, 682-250-6399) offers Comedy Open the Mac with host Ian Mac every Wednesday at 9pm. Register by 8 p.m. to reserve your time on stage.

Hyena Comedy Nightclub Fort Worth (425 Commerce St, 817-877-5233) has the longest running comedy club in North Texas. The show days are Thurs-Sun, with Thursday being the free cover night. All shows are only for ages 21 and up. For tickets and more information, visit HyenasComedyNightclub.com.

This week’s shows at Hyena include Helen Hong and the 325 comedy show with Brandon Davidson, Jamie Gravy and Christina Lopez 9:30 p.m. Thu (free show), Tony Hinchcliffe 9:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Fri and 8:00 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Sat (tickets are $ 20) who have favourited TK Kirkland Solo Show 8:00 PM Sun (tickets cost $ 25-35). You can also watch the Jump Comedy Show in the Red Room with Dylan Arena, Adrian Johnson and Chris on Friday at 10pm Hopkins, Diego Morales, Zac Sprung and Sarah Tullos. (Tickets are $ 25.)

Typically known for live music, DIMENSIONS (1002 S Main St, 682-707-7774) also hosts special events and comedy shindigs. Every Monday from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. is the riot Claws Out Comedy Show The cast moderated by Monna consists of a changing cast of local comedians. This weekly event is free.

The full-service restaurant and comedy club of the nationally known Improv Comedy Empire Arlington Improv located in the Arlington Highlands Shopping Center (309 Curtis Mathes Way, Ste 147, 817-635-5555). The show days are Thurs-Sun, but you can enjoy a full selection of food, drinks and video games every day in Improv’s in-house Black Dog Retro Arcade. The next shows at Arlington Improv will be Steve Trevino: I speak woman Tour at 7:30 p.m. on Thu May 6; 7:30 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Fri, May 7; 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sa, May 8; and on Sunday, May 9th, at 7 p.m. Tables start at $ 80 for four at ArlingtonImprov.com.

Speaking of future shows, the Fort Worth Comedy Institution Four day weekend awakens from government-mandated hibernation when it reopens on Friday, May 14th. The performances take place every Friday at 8 p.m. and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. at the Four Day Theater in Sundance Square (312 Houston St, 817-226-4329). Tickets will be on sale at FourDayWeekend.com on Sunday, May 1st for $ 25 each, plus fees and taxes.
