Dallas Neighborhood Welcomes Pop-Up Mobile Food Park – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth
DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – MLK Food Park is in full operation thanks to the Real Estate Council and the Better Block non-profit organization.
This communal space offers the residents of the Forest District the opportunity to get to know local suppliers while enjoying nature. The event includes seating areas, multiple food trucks that will be different each week, and live music. Anyone can join the event for free – food is the only price.

The Real Estate Council says the main goal of this event is to promote casual guidelines for mobile grocery sellers. If successful, the city of Dallas could expand the MLK Food Park.

“This is a neighborhood that has suffered from divestment for decades! So not only do we have this grocery park – a month long demonstration – for what could really be, but also a representation of the changes in the neighborhood, ”said Felicia Pierson, Senior Director, Community Investment at Real Estate Council.

The MLK Food Park is open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until May 2, 2021.
