Fort Worth 12-Year-Old Girl Writes Second Book Encouraging Kindness – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

A 12-year-old from Fort Worth is doing something good with her latest book.

April Lynn Pelton has written two books. Both, “I am I can I will “and”The grove of 100 wishes, “are based on lessons that other children should learn.

“I’ve been through bullying and seen a lot of bullying in my school. So the book came out of it. I just wanted to show that being kind is better than bullying or being mean every day, ”Pelton said.

It’s about being good to others and showing other children that reading and writing are fun.

“I love to read and write. It’s so good for you, ”said Pelton.

The Crowley ISD middle school student will be signing copies of her second book, “I Am, I Can, I Will,” on Saturday, May 15, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Trail Blaze on the third floor of the Galleria Dallas

Trail Blaze is operated by the non-profit Target Evolution, which helps teenagers make money from their own small business or freelance work to ensure they are prepared for life.
