Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival Announces Cancellation of 2020 Event – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Food and Wine Foundation has announced the cancellation of the Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival 2020.

The event was previously scheduled for October 22-25, but due to the uncertainties surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will now take place April 8-11 next year.

According to the Fort Worth Food and Wine Foundation, the foundation will continue to support the local culinary community through the Restaurant Employee Relief Fund, although the 2020 festival will not take place.

The fund was launched in March 2020 to help food service professionals who got into trouble during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Fort Worth Food and Wine Foundation is here to serve local food companies and their employees who emerge every day to move forward in these uncertain times,” said Russell Kirkpatrick, co-founder of the Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival. “They have been instrumental in growing the festival and developing our local culinary scene, and we want them to know we have their backs.”

The Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival will show its appreciation for local restaurants by dedicating October 19-25 to celebrating food and beverage companies in the area.
