Fort Worth Police Slam Fox News Host For “Absolutely Inaccurate” Report About Protest Response – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

TARRANT COUNTY (CBSNEWS.COM) – The Fort Worth Police Department issued a statement Monday condemning Fox News host Tucker Carlson for an “absolutely inaccurate” report on how it dealt with recent protests against racial injustice.

Police said Carlson was ruthless and contributing to “an environment of confusion and bitterness.”

The department posted a response to a Carlson segment on May 31 on its Facebook page claiming Police Chief Ed Kraus had “dropped all charges” against dozens of rioters arrested for looting and vandalism. Carlson showed it off in a section on Republican-controlled cities that he said “bow down” to Black Lives Matter.

Police said Carlson was undermining the truth.

“This information is completely inaccurate and does not match the actual facts,” the statement said. “The only charges dropped were minor offenses that did not involve property or personal crimes.”
