Fort Worth Record Label TRND Music to Host First Festival
Fort Worth faces a music festival after COVID-19 canceled almost every major live event last year.
But it looks like the city will slow down when it gets going again. Fort Worth-based record label TRND (pronounced “Trend”) Music has announced that it will host the TRND Fest on June 5th from 3pm to 10pm at Wild Acre Live, the new two-tier music venue on Wild Acre Brewing’s property, 1734 E. El Paso St. More than 15 artists are expected – including Emma Oliver, Ronnie Heart, Megan Elaine and Roane – with local personality Tony Green hosting the event.
The TRND Fest is one of the premier musical events on Wild Acre Live, run by Fortress Presents, the company that hosts the Fortress Festival. Although Fortress Festival is canceled again for 2021, Fortress Presents plans to bring more events to Wild Acre, with TRND Fest essentially being the “soft opening” of the venue, says Fortamt co-founder Ramtin Nikzad.
According to TRND, the planned number of participants for the festival is 500 to 750 participants. TRND is currently looking for vendors who can pitch tents and sell their wares for the duration of the festival. However, providers of food and beverages are not permitted.
A label on the rise thanks to its growing clientele, TRND regularly hosted open microphones at the Bledsoe Street location in Ampersand. As a full-service production company, TRND offers services ranging from recording, mixing and mastering to promotion and mentoring.
