Fort Worth’s Development Services Department continues to expand online services amid COVID-19

In addition to the virtual meetings, fillable documents, electronic signature features and virtual appointment systems already in place, the Fort Worth Development Services division has added more than 270 fees to Accela Citizen Access’ online approval system that customers can use to pay electronically.

Fees include parking fees, water development fees, and more. Approximately 37 permit applications have been added to the Accela Citizen Access permit system to allow residents to submit an application electronically. Before March of this year, people seeking permission should have made a trip downtown to visit the town hall.

The new online applications include residential buildings, home accessories, temporary interventions in the street, registration of loan agreements and much more.

According to a press release from the City of Fort Worth, the Development Services Department continues to work with internal and external stakeholders to move as many services to digital platforms as possible and provide the public with consistent availability and exceptional customer service.
