Goal Accomplished – CBS Dallas / Fort Worth

FORT WORTH (CBSDFW.COM) – For the TCU women’s soccer program, which started in 1986, there was already a knock on the door several times. The first ever conference championship was worth the wait.

TCU Senior Goalkeeper Emily Alvarado says, “We have come this far on this journey, and it has simply been one of the best experiences of my life to come full circle and move forward.”

Since the autumn sports championships have already been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is hope that they can be caught up again in spring.

For the Horned Frogs, it means having the chance or not to fight for the NCAA title.

And for Eric Bell, although a big goal has already been achieved, he knows how much a chance would mean to go one step further.

As a retired college player, there aren’t many black Division I head coaches.

So history has already been made and will continue to be written at the TCU.

Bell says, “It is my responsibility to lay the foundation for others to get behind me and be successful.”

Some amazing young women at TCU can testify that the mission was accomplished.
