Gussy places 34th at the Whataburger Bassmaster Elite at Neely Henry Lake

Kenoras Jeff “Gussy” Gustafson finished 34th in the Whataburger Bassmaster Elite at Neely Henry Lake.

Gustafson’s tournament total is 13 fish weighing 29 pounds and 9 ounces.

Day 1 – 3 fish weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces.

Day 2 – 5 fish weighing 13 pounds, 8 ounces.

Day 3 – 5 fish weighing 9 pounds, 9 ounces.

The top 10 anglers will fight for the championship on Monday. The launch will take place at 5:40 a.m. (CDT). The deliberations start at 2:00 p.m.

The next stop on the elite circuit is the 2021 Berkley Bassmaster Elite at Lake Gunterville, which takes place May 20-23.

The Bassmaster Elite Series is the highest level of professional bass fishing tournaments. Entrants must qualify for the series through the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Open or the BASS Nation. Anglers who are already in the Elite Series must re-qualify each year by accumulating enough points throughout the season. Professional anglers compete all season for the opportunity to earn points for the Toyota Bassmaster Angler of the Year award and qualify for the Bassmaster Classic on June 11, 2021 in Lake Ray Roberts, Fort Worth, Texas.
