Nashville’s Helen’s Hot Chicken is opening at a West Fort Worth restaurant, a company spokesperson said Wednesday.

Helen’s will replace a sandwich shop at 2812 Horne Street on the corner of Camp Bowie Boulevard and Lccke Avenue.

Helen’s is one of the definitive Nashville Hot Chicken restaurants. Seven locations serve the chicken with extra hot condiments, introduced here by Gus’s of Memphis and popularized by the Cookshack and other restaurants since then.

Helen’s is one block from one of Fort Worth’s most popular traditional fried chicken restaurants, Drew’s.

The first Helen’s in Texas is open at 413 E. Round Grove Road in Lewisville.
