May 2021 school board election results in Texas
Residents of the Arlington School District will elect three positions on the Board of Trustees on May 1, 2021.
Arlington School District candidate Sarah McMurrough appeared to have an early lead in her crowded race for 1st place on Saturday, while incumbents in 2nd and 3rd appeared to be holding their seats from 8:48 p.m. according to election results and 100 out of 173 polling stations reported.
McMurrough, a candidate for # 1, received 51.19% of the vote; Incumbent Polly Walton received 29.73%; Watson Robinson Jr. received 12.05%; and Sam Abu received 7.03%.
2nd place incumbent Melody Fowler received 72.21% of the vote. Your opponent, Michael Perkins, captured 27.79%.
3rd place incumbent Aaron Reich received 43.88% of the vote. The opponents Daphne Jackson captured 32.83% and Richard Weber 23.3%.
Around 60,000 students attend the school within the AISD, which covers parts of Arlington, Grand Prairie and Mansfield.
