New Fort Worth ghost kitchen concept debuts with BBQ & hot link queso
We all hope 2021 gets better, and here is some promising news for January: A grilling-centered “ghost kitchen” is set to debut in Fort Worth.
Called Secret barbecue sauceIt is a takeaway restaurant from Bottleneck Management, the Chicago-based restaurant group that owns and operates the City Works Eatery & Pour House, with two DFW locations in Fort Worth and Frisco.
It will open on January 4th in both locations and only deliver. Pickup will be in early 2021. (The Fort Worth location is in the stores in Clearfork.)
Menu highlights are:
Baby back ribs
pulled BBQ chicken
fried smoked wings
Mac & cheese
A publication explains that Secret Sauce reflects the love for grilling that Jason Akemann, Nate Hilding and Chris Bisaillon, bottleneck management, have in common.
Barbecue is also ideal for a varied menu, large portions for families and the opportunity to travel well in take-out format. The smoked meat can stay fine for hours.
Angela Zoiss, honcho for bottleneck marketing, said in a statement they wanted to adapt to the changes that the pandemic has brought about and that may be sustainable for the future as well.
“The light bulb went on for us when we realized we could create a virtual brand that can live online but run from our existing kitchens,” says Zoiss. “We decided that this could really work and probably even thrive in today’s on-demand, carryout / delivery-driven environment.”
Starters include Hot Link Queso Dip with smoked Louisiana Hot Link, allspice, pepper and jack cheese sauce, queso fresco, spring onions and white corn tortilla; and grated chilli Fried smoked wings with a selection of homemade BBQ sauces such as Carolina Mustard BBQ, Buffalo and Nashville Hot.
Meat belong Baby back ribs, Hot links, Pulled pork, and Smoked Chicken Wings, served with white bread, pickles and two sides like Creamy grains, Mashed potatoes, Sweet corn, Chipotle coleslaw, and Baked beans with maple bacon.
