‘Texas Today’ Expands to Monday – Friday at 11:30 a.m. and Adds a New Co-Host – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth
NBC 5 is expanding its two-time Emmy Award-winning lifestyle show Texas Today to five days a week from Monday through Friday, 11:30 am to 12:00 pm starting Monday, February 22, 2021.
Since its launch in March 2020, Texas Today has seen steadily growing interest, positive feedback from viewers and local businesses, and continued success in the area. Now host Kristin Dickerson welcomes her new co-host Vivian Kwarm to share the BEST of Texas and beyond. Together, Kristin and Vivian will show what makes North Texas unique, with an emphasis on food, fitness / health, fashion, beauty, parenting, entertainment and unique travel destinations.
Kwarm, previously anchored in Peoria, IL, who created / hosted her own talk show, Vision in Vogue, to encourage women to work on their visions in life, joins the longtime, award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and Original Texas Today with host Dickerson to further explore what’s happening in and around North Texas, new adventures in the neighboring states, events and emerging places to visit, and to discover and highlight people who make great things happen for the community.
“Texas Today takes viewers on an adventure in North Texas to reveal what makes our state great,” said Jessica Grose, executive producer of Texas Today. “We’re excited about the growth we’ve seen over the past year and ready to explore more to keep the community entertained and educated.”
