The best Fort Worth restaurants for Mother’s Day brunch 2021
A year ago, only a handful of restaurants dared to open for dinner on Mother’s Day (25 percent of the time), and many more chose to only offer roadside pick-up meals. Mom had to pour her own mimosa at home. This year, Mother’s Day brunch is back. The celebrations range from multi-course gourmet meals (with real mimosa flutes) to live music and even live longhorns in a popular restaurant. Here are Fort Worth’s best spots for brunch on Mother’s Day, which takes place on Sunday, May 9th. The list will continue to grow as more are announced.
B & B butcher & restaurant
The Clearfork Steakhouse gives mothers what they really want: someone to keep the kids entertained. There’s a balloon artist on site for Mother’s Day Sunday brunch, live music, and a couple of Texas Longhorns for family photos. Every mom gets a free mimosa with brunch dishes like crab cake benedict, coconut crust french toast, chilaquiles and old-fashioned omelets. The brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 817-737-5212.
Blue Mesa Grill
The bustling brunch place opens early at 8 a.m. and offers its usual mega-buffet with biscuits and sausage sauce, migas, chicken and waffles, omelets, a carving station with brisket and red chili salmon, street tacos, adobe pie, cheese enchiladas, sugar corn cake, Southwest Mac and Cheese, Salads, Chimayo Corn, Sparkling Wine, and Mimosas. Mother’s Day specialties include courgette and goat cheese quiche, asparagus cake, Chateaubriand fillet, Wagyu sirloin, turkey breast with citrus herbs, raspberry and lime cake and a special pink Mother’s Day tower of power cake. This multi-course meal in the fine steak and seafood destination begins with warm, home-baked cinnamon rolls. For the first course, choose between salad, lobster bisque or shrimp cocktail. and steak and eggs, lobster quiche or smoked gravlax as a starter. Banana selection, pancakes or fresh berries with biscuits round off the dessert. Ellerbe Fine Foods
The popular farm-to-table restaurant on West Magnolia Avenue opens early for Mother’s Day Sunday brunch. Three courses ($ 56 per person) include a choice of soup or salad; a starter of braised brisket tartine, sauteed salmon with coconut basmati rice or eggs and avocado with browned butter corn bread; and strawberry ricotta cake for dessert. The downtown foodie destination was one of the few restaurants that was open at 25 percent capacity on Mother’s Day last year. This year, reservations for Sunday brunch items like egg benedict with delicate fillet and lump crab, quiche lorraine and pork carnitas with white cheddar semolina and lime crème fraiche are making fast. The chic high-end steakhouse of the chic Sinclair Hotel opens for Mother’s Day Sunday brunch and offers an à la carte menu with favorite dishes. Choose from shrimp and semolina, chicken and waffles, grilled beef breakfast tacos, and even French toast filled with Nutella. Save space for olive oil cake, black cherry cheesecake and a wicked sundae with caramel corn, brownie pieces, chocolate ice cream and caramel sauce.
