And Dallas-Fort Worth companies took home 101 of the 250 spots in Texas – making North Texas the largest proportion of companies represented.
The so-called Inc. 5000 Regionals are a spin-off of the long-standing ranking of publications by private companies. Inc. now creates separate rankings for the metropolitan areas of Texas, California, Florida, the Midwest, and New York City and Washington, DC.
The Texan companies on this year’s regional list saw average sales growth of 107% from 2017 to 2019 – before the pandemic wiped out many industries. Together, the companies generated sales of $ 9.5 billion.
