This Fort Worth map shows crime report totals, locations
Criminals must have taken a spring break after reported crimes died in Fort Worth last week. This comes from a Star Telegram card created using data from the police department that the city released.
It was the second straight week that reported crimes in Fort Worth fell.
Last week, from April 18 to April 24, 796 crimes were recorded. That is in the second full week of April compared to 827. There were 848 from April 4th to 10th.
Theft remained the most common crime in Fort Worth. There were 128 thefts in the city last week.
The four most common crimes recorded the most were assault with 95, criminal offense 80, violating the criminal code 73, and vehicle break-in 61.
The weekly plots of the Star Telegram crime map have reported crimes across Fort Worth, with multi-colored dots marking them where they occurred. People can hover over the dots to view crime information and use a search bar to search for key terms. There is a menu where people can filter which crimes they want to see on the map.
